In His Word
"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path." – Psalm 119:105

Psalms 23-24

“The Lord is my shepherd,…” – you can probably finish the sentence and much of the psalm.  Psalm 23 is the most well-known and often-quoted psalm.  It can often be seen and/or heard at funeral homes, as it provides such comfort.  The Lord leads, restores, guides, comforts, provides, anoints.  No wonder the psalmist concludes by saying, “Surely goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all the days of my life, And I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever” (:6).

The next psalm, Psalm 24, looks at God from another standpoint: His greatness and might.  As the Creator of all, everything belongs to Him.  Only those with “clean hands and a pure heart” can stand before Him.  He is indeed “the King of glory.”

Have a great day in His word!
