Job 7 – “my life is but breath”

 2Tue - poetry

Breath, flower, shadow – the book of Job uses these words to describe life.  A breath (7:7, 16) “appears for a little while and then vanishes away” (James 4:14), and so will you.  A flower “comes forth and withers” (Job 14:2), and so will you.  A shadow (8:9) “flees and does not remain” (14:2), and neither will you.  The next time you see a vanishing breath, withering flower, or fleeing shadow, remember that soon in will be you.

Have a great day in His word!
