“many are called, but few are chosen”

After presenting a parable about a wedding feast, Jesus concluded it by saying, “For many are called, but few are chosen” (Matthew 22:14).  The king sent his slaves to call/invite “as many as you find” (:9-10).  Among those who came, one was not properly dressed and was cast out (:11-13).

Jesus sent His disciples to “go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation” (Mark 16:15), calling any who will listen.  Those called must “walk in a manner worthy of the calling” to be among the chosen (Ephesians 4:1).  Have you heard the calling?  Are you walking like the chosen?
